HEATH VARGAS BENEFIT - He was a father, a student, a son, brother & friend. Hugh & Jeff's were the host to this most excellent benefit with some of the hottest auction action we've ever seen. Thanks to all the H&J Staff, the organizers, and all who came out to support Heath's legacy. Nice job!
Speaking of which, Abrahams Tree opened the live music at the event retooled and sounding in tip top shape as they prepare to produce their upcoming CD. Also, with a total of 2 rehearsals under their belts, Clear Lake's newest band, 6 Car Pileup wasted no time with a three set & 45 song play list. These guys (Shawn Pritchard vocals, David Madigan/guitar, Joe Palmero/bass & Rich Mason/drums) debuted at the new Mother's Speakeasy before unleashing at the benefit. If you're into the 80's top forty classics that nobody ever plays, 'cos they can't, check out 6 Car Pileup out 'cos these guys can -- Twas mighty... :-)
